Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit has arrested four members of the banned militant outfit Ansar-al-Islam—also known as the Ansarullah Bangla Team—from the Jatrabari area of the capital.

The identities of the arrestees could not be known yet.

They arrested the militants early Friday, according to a text message sent to media by CTTC.

Further detail will be disclosed at a press briefing scheduled to be held at the DMP media centre later in the day, the message said.
